I initially achieved Tom Wilson in 1980 at the Dundas Valley School of Art, just exterior of Hamilton, Ontario, where I was a scholar and he was employed to strum his guitar at a reception there. Being included in the regional audio scene as I was, I introduced myself to the lone stranger. Not long later on, Tom emerged onto the Hamilton new music scene kicking and screaming as the frontman for neighborhood roots-primarily based rockers, The Florida Razors. At the time, I was booking bands at a dive bar in the city’s west end. Also lots of stories to inform right here about the shared adventures and ordeals that ensued more than the future few of a long time, but we have been friends and colleagues at any time since, linked through art, spouse and children, and the near-knit circles of the Hamilton songs and cultural scene. When I afterwards moved to Montreal I grew to become associated in the music scene there, reserving bands into bars and golf equipment, like The Florida Razors and other teams from Hamilton. Throughout passes through Montreal, Tom designed a eager desire in visual artwork and frequented my studio over the years. By the early 1990s, he had taken up portray, and our conversations and exchanges developed from songs to literature and art.

I’m portray the closing canvas for my forthcoming art show at Cultural Superior Gallery, producing my 2nd reserve for Penguin Random Household and pumping out traces and tunes for my participate in, “Beautiful Scars” which opens in April. Now fuck off I’ ‘m fast paced.
