ARTS All over: Art show shows range of Port Alberni visual artists

The Wednesday Painters Group is at present on show at The Grove Art Gallery in Port Alberni. The wonderful selection of function features 12 neighborhood artists, like Joan Akerman, Angie Blake, Cynthia Bonesky, Linda Campbell, Judy Dixon, Janet Finch, Cheryl Frehlich, Chris Motyka, Carol Novak, Shauna Seegmiller, Sue Thomas, and Elizabeth Yuen.

Inspite of the identify of the team, the Wednesday Painters do not just do paintings. Work consists of oil, watercolour, pen and ink, fibre artwork, silk fusion, clay sculptures and Paverpol.

WEST Coastline FIBRE

The inaugural assembly of the West Coastline Fibre Guild will be Monday, July 24 at 6 p.m. in the Dogwood Room at the Echo Centre. We are seeking for artists to be a part of our next open up artwork show, titled “Back in Time.”

Registered artists will pick a “blind” envelope, made up of random historic photographs delivered by the Alberni Valley Museum, and build artwork dependent on those people images.
